dPCR CGT Assay CMV enhancer (Cy5)

This Cy5-labelled probe assay from QIAGEN is a wet-lab validated dPCR CGT reagent targeting the cytomegalovirus (CMV) enhancer sequence, designed for digital PCR applications including adeno-associated virus (AAV) genome quantitation on the QIAcuity Digital PCR System with the QIAcuity Probe PCR Kit. The assay is provided at 20× concentration and yields a 132 bp amplicon.

The probe carries a Cy5 fluorophore paired with a TAO/Iowa Black quencher. The assay is compatible with the restriction enzymes Msp I, Hpa II and Sma I, and is validated for both singleplex and multiplex reactions, including combinations with gene-of-interest assays and other CMV enhancer, CMV promoter and SV40 promoter assays available in FAM, HEX and Cy5 channels. It is formulated to minimise cross-channel interference in multiplex use and is also compatible with digital PCR instruments from other suppliers.

On 8.5k Nanoplates the CGT dPCR assays demonstrate linearity from 2.5 copies/µl to 15,000 copies/µl with precision of less than 10% deviation from the mean, and enable accurate quantification down to 0.3 copies/µl. The reagent is supplied ready-to-use and should be stored frozen. It is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic use.
