dPCR CGT Assay AMP resistance (FAM)

This wet-lab validated assay from QIAGEN targets a gene sequence that confers resistance to ampicillin and carbenicillin in bacteria; the AMP marker is commonly used in plasmid backbones. It is suited to detecting residual plasmid DNA in adeno-associated virus (AAV) particle preparations and uses a FAM-labelled probe designed to run on the QIAcuity Digital PCR System with the QIAcuity Probe PCR Kit.

The probe chemistry uses a ZEN/Iowa Black quencher, yields an amplicon of 100 bp, and is compatible with the restriction enzymes Msp I, Hpa II, and Sma I. The ready-to-use format supports singleplex and multiplex workflows.
