DNeasy PowerClean Pro Clean Up Kit (50)

Designed by QIAGEN for fast removal of PCR inhibitors from previously purified DNA, this cleanup kit delivers cleaned-up DNA suitable for downstream applications such as PCR, qPCR, and next-generation sequencing, with the manual protocol completing in 7 minutes. It uses Inhibitor Removal Technology (IRT) to selectively remove contaminants including heme, polysaccharides, polyphenols, fulvic acids, dyes, and humic acids, while also eliminating brown color from samples.

Purification is performed in a spin-column format using a silica membrane that captures DNA, including total genomic DNA, before washing and elution. The kit accommodates up to 100 µl of purified DNA per prep, with a binding capacity of up to 20 µg per prep and a size range of 60 bp to 50 kb. It is suitable for DNA isolated from virtually any sample source and has been validated with DNA from a variety of problematic soils, including samples spiked with commercial humic acids. Throughput is 1–24 samples, and the procedure can be automated on QIAcube Connect or the classic QIAcube instruments.

The kit is manufactured under QIAGEN's ISO-certified Quality Management System, with each lot tested against predetermined specifications to ensure consistent product quality. It was formerly sold by MO BIO as PowerClean Pro DNA Clean-Up Kit.
