DNeasy 96 PowerSoil Pro QIAcube HT Kit

Designed for automated isolation of microbial genomic DNA from challenging sample types, the QIAGEN DNeasy 96 PowerSoil Pro QIAcube HT Kit brings next-generation Pro technology to high-throughput workflows. The kit enables reproducible purification of up to 96 soil or stool samples at one time on the QIAcube HT instrument, with a semi-automated workflow completed in less than 3 hours. Improved beads and optimized chemistry support efficient lysis of bacteria and fungi across all soil types, including compost, clay and top soil, as well as stool and gut samples.

A streamlined Inhibitor Removal Technology (IRT) eliminates common inhibitors found in stool, soil and environmental samples. DNA extracted from soil samples showed excellent A260/A280 ratios (around 1.9) and high A260/A230 ratios (over 2.0), with no PCR inhibition detected. PowerBead Pro Tubes or PowerBead Pro Plates can be purchased separately to suit a preferred tube or plate format for homogenization. Sequencing results reveal higher alpha diversity, as measured by observed operational taxonomic units (OTUs), compared to other tested methods, and the kit produces results equivalent to those obtained with the DNeasy PowerSoil Pro Kit. The resulting DNA is ready to use directly in downstream next-generation sequencing (NGS) applications.
