CoV-2 Rec Spike, His, Flag (HEK) 1000ug

A recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Spike glycoprotein expressed in HEK 293 cells and purified with both polyhistidine and FLAG epitope tags, supplied by STEMCELL Technologies for coronavirus research programs.

The 1000 µg format supports medium-to-large screening campaigns where consistent antigen quality matters across many plates or replicates. Investigators apply this preparation to pseudovirus neutralization assays, ACE2 receptor binding studies, monoclonal antibody screening workflows, and plate-coating steps for serology method development.

Because the antigen is produced in human cells, the resulting pre-fusion trimer displays mammalian-style glycosylation patterns that more faithfully mimic native virion spikes than bacterially expressed alternatives, which is relevant for studies of conformational epitopes and S1/S2 cleavage behavior. The C-terminal His tag enables nickel-affinity purification and clean immobilization on Ni-NTA surfaces, while the FLAG tag offers an orthogonal handle for detection or immunoprecipitation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
