From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent recognizes ZNF169 (zinc finger protein 169), a 603 amino acid nuclear transcription regulator containing one KRAB domain and thirteen C2H2-type zinc fingers. ZNF169 maps to human chromosome 9q22 and acts as a sequence-specific DNA-binding repressor that modulates RNA polymerase II activity, with the 9q22 locus previously linked to colon cancer, basal cell carcinoma, and Gorlin syndrome.

Provided as 50 µL of unconjugated liquid antiserum in a single-use vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes across the target, supporting detection of endogenous ZNF169 in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections. Published subcellular profiling localizes ZNF169 mainly to nuclear speckles, with additional cytosolic distribution, and the protein has a predicted size of approximately 68 kDa.

Investigators apply this reagent to probe differential expression of KRAB-zinc finger transcription factors in developmental biology, oncology, and autoimmune-related studies. Store the vial refrigerated in working aliquots and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve titer. Intended for research use only and not for diagnostic procedures.
