Anti-ZNF148 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against human ZNF148, a Krüppel-type zinc finger transcription factor also known as ZBP-89 that binds GC-rich promoter elements and modulates expression of genes controlling cell cycle arrest (including p21/CDKN1A), apoptosis, and gastrointestinal hormones such as gastrin. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of antiserum validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

In Western blot, the antibody recognizes an endogenous band at the predicted molecular weight of ZNF148 (~89 kDa) in whole-cell or nuclear lysates, making it useful for studies of transcriptional regulation in cancer cell lines where ZNF148/ZBP-89 has been linked to gastric, colorectal, and hepatocellular carcinoma pathways. For IHC, staining of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections enables investigation of ZNF148 expression patterns in normal epithelium and tumor specimens, including its reported role as a regulator of gastrin in gastric mucosa.

As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody binds multiple epitopes across the target protein, which can improve tolerance to minor sequence variations between species and isoforms.
