Manufactured by Medix Biochemica and distributed through the Antibodies.com catalog, this Mouse monoclonal reagent is raised against the Zika Virus envelope (Env) protein and is supplied as a 1 mg aliquot of purified monoclonal antibody in0.015 M potassium phosphate buffer (pH 7.2) with 0.85% sodium chloride and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. The antibody is unconjugated, belongs to the IgG1, kappa isotype, and shows specificity for Zika Virus with no detectable cross-reactivity to Dengue Virus or Chikungunya Virus, an important feature for serological assays in regions where these flaviviruses co-circulate. Recommended for ELISA workflows on the Zika Virus (ZIKV-Env) target, the antibody is shipped on cold packs and should be stored short term at +2 to +8 °C; for long-term use, aliquot and store at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The immunogen used to generate the clone is recombinant Zika Virus envelope protein, and purity is reported at greater than 90% by SDS-PAGE, supporting reliable lot-to-lot performance in diagnostic and research immunoassays.
