This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against a synthetic peptide surrounding residue 319 of human Zap-70 (Zeta-chain-associated protein kinase 70), a 70 kDa Syk-family tyrosine kinase that is recruited to the T-cell receptor complex and phosphorylates downstream adaptors such as LAT during T-cell activation. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µL of polyclonal antiserum and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) detection of endogenous Zap-70 in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting research into TCR signaling, thymic selection, and mature T-cell function. Intended for research use only.

On Western blot, the antibody recognizes the full-length kinase in lymphoid cell lysates, and its polyclonal format increases the likelihood of detecting both unmodified and post-translationally modified forms of Zap-70 — useful when comparing resting and stimulated T-cell states. In IHC applications on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, the reagent labels Zap-70-positive lymphocyte populations and has been adopted in studies of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), where Zap-70 expression is a well-established prognostic indicator, and in research on ZAP70-associated severe combined immunodeficiency (ZAP70-SCID).

The unconjugated format allows pairing with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents chosen by the user, supporting chemiluminescent, chromogenic, or immunofluorescence workflows. A 100 µL vial provides enough reagent for numerous immunoblots and many tissue sections, depending on incubation conditions; aliquoting upon first use and protecting the antibody from repeated freeze-thaw cycles helps preserve long-term activity. Storage temperature and buffer composition should follow the lot-specific datasheet provided by Antibodies.com.
