YY1AP1 (YY1-Associated Protein 1) is a nuclear protein that partners with the Yin Yang 1 (YY1) transcription factor and contributes to chromatin-associated transcriptional regulation. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human YY1AP1 and supplied as 100 µl of working-stock reagent optimized for Western blot detection of the endogenous target in human cell and tissue lysates.

Validated for WB on human samples and supplied without a conjugated reporter, the antibody functions as a primary reagent for downstream detection with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies. Polyclonal reactivity covers multiple epitopes on YY1AP1, supporting detection of full-length protein as well as isoforms generated by alternative splicing of the YY1AP1 transcript.

YY1AP1 has been characterized as a candidate gene for Grange syndrome, a rare arteriopathy featuring arterial stenoses and fragility. Researchers have used antibodies of this type to probe YY1AP1 expression in patient-derived lymphoblastoid cell lines and dermal fibroblasts, comparing isoform patterns between wild-type and disease-associated genotypes.

For handling, the antibody should be stored refrigerated and protected from light. Small-volume aliquoting of the 100 µl pack helps preserve titer across repeated experimental runs and limits freeze-thaw cycling of the working stock.
