The YY1 transcription factor (Yin Yang 1) is a 65 kDa nuclear zinc finger protein that can activate, repress, or initiate transcription depending on chromatin context and cofactor recruitment. This polyclonal IgG reagent, raised in rabbit, is supplied as an unconjugated 200 µl liquid aliquot from Antibodies.com and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Endogenous YY1 migrates as a ~65 kDa band in Western blot, and nuclear staining is the expected pattern in IHC across proliferating and differentiated tissues. Researchers studying transcriptional regulation, polycomb-mediated gene silencing, B-cell development, and the DNA damage response commonly deploy this antibody to monitor YY1 expression, post-translational modification, and chromatin association. Aliquot upon receipt for long-term freezer storage at -20 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
