YRDC (YrdC N-terminal domain-containing protein) is a conserved component of the KEOPS/EKC complex that catalyzes the universal N6-threonylcarbamoyladenosine (t6A) modification on ANN-decoding tRNAs, a step required for accurate codon-anticodon pairing and translational fidelity. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against recombinant human YRDC, affinity-purified, and is supplied as 100 µL of antiserum validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples.

The antibody detects endogenous YRDC across multiple human cell lines and mouse tissue extracts. On Western blot it produces a clean band at the expected molecular weight for the target; on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections it delivers a staining distribution that aligns with published YRDC localization data. Researchers working on mitochondrial translation regulation, codon-specific translational accuracy, and the cellular response to tRNA modification defects can incorporate this reagent into standard WB and IHC workflows.

Storage and handling: aliquot the vial upon arrival to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20°C. For active use over short periods the reagent can be kept refrigerated at 4°C. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chromogenic, affinity-based, or immunofluorescence detection methods.
