Anti-YKDDDDK Antibody

Raised in rabbits as a polyclonal IgG and supplied as an unconjugated liquid antiserum, the reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and ELISA applications. The manufacturer recommends a WB dilution of 1:2,000.

The antibody was generated against a synthetic YKDDDDK peptide conjugated to KLH and specifically binds FLAG-tagged fusion proteins. According to the manufacturer, it does not react with the "Yeast Flag Tag," which consists of three or nine repeats of DYKDHD sandwiched with glycine (G) residues. The formulation contains 0.05% Sodium Azide as a preservative, and the product is shipped at 4°C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C to avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
