Anti-XRCC2 Antibody

Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent and supplied unconjugated, this antibody recognizes XRCC2, a RAD51 paralog required for homologous recombination–mediated repair of DNA double-strand breaks and for maintenance of chromosomal stability. The antigen is conserved among vertebrates, and the reagent detects the human, mouse, and rat protein in western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.

XRCC2 operates as part of the BCDX2 complex alongside RAD51B, RAD51C, and RAD51D, supporting RAD51 filament assembly at resected DNA ends. Biallelic loss-of-function variants in XRCC2 are linked to Fanconi anemia–like presentations and to elevated cancer predisposition, which makes a clean antibody reagent valuable for studies of genome integrity, DNA damage response signaling, replication fork protection, and tumor biology.

Each vial is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, shipped as a 100 µl volume sufficient for several immunoblots and staining experiments.
