Anti-Wnt-1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the canonical Wnt family member Wnt-1, this polyclonal reagent targets a secreted, palmitoylated glycoprotein that activates β-catenin–dependent transcription through Frizzled and LRP5/6 co-receptors. Wnt-1 was originally identified as a proto-oncogene activated by mouse mammary tumor virus integration, which is why the antibody is now widely used across mammary tumor studies, neural tube patterning screens, and stem cell maintenance work where canonical pathway activity is being tracked.

The unconjugated IgG fraction is validated for Western blot detection of the mature ~41 kDa Wnt-1 band in cell and tissue lysates, immunohistochemistry on fixed developmental and tumor sections, immunofluorescence for subcellular and membrane-proximal localization, and ELISA quantification of conditioned media or recombinant preparations. Reactivity has been confirmed on human and mouse samples, supporting direct comparison across patient-derived material, transgenic or knockout murine disease models, and reference cell lines without re-validating species cross-reactivity each time.
