A rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets WD Repeat Domain 5 (WDR5), a WD40 repeat scaffolding protein best known as a core component of the MLL/SET1 histone H3K4 methyltransferase complex. Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a single vial, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes across the human and mouse protein and has been validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The polyclonal format makes it useful for chromatin immunoprecipitation studies, transcription factor complex pulldowns, and detection of WDR5 in tumor tissue sections.

WDR5 forms the WRAD subcomplex together with RBBP5, ASH2L, and DPY30, where it positions the catalytic SET1/MLL subunits on chromatin to promote H3K4 methylation. Beyond its canonical role in active transcription, WDR5 has been implicated in embryonic development, hematopoiesis, and several cancer pathways, including MLL-rearranged leukemias, where disruption of the WDR5-MLL protein-protein interface has been pursued as a therapeutic strategy.

For storage, keep the vial at -20 °C in aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles, with short-term working stocks held at 4 °C. Intended for research use only in laboratory studies of histone methylation, transcriptional regulation, and oncogenic signaling.
