WAVE3 (also known as WASF3) is a member of the WASP-family verprolin-homologous proteins that activates the Arp2/3 complex to drive actin polymerization at the leading edge of migrating cells. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit against an epitope designated D186 on human WAVE3 and is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The 50 µl vial has been validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples, supporting work on cytoskeletal remodeling, lamellipodia formation, and the documented involvement of WAVE3 in invasive tumor cell behavior. For routine use the antibody should be stored refrigerated; for longer term storage it is advisable to aliquot and freeze at -20 °C and to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Because sodium azide is included as a preservative, the reagent is not appropriate for live-cell or functional assays where azide would interfere with cell viability.
