WASP (Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome Protein) is a hematopoietic-specific cytoplasmic regulator of the actin cytoskeleton that links Rho-family GTPases such as Cdc42 to the Arp2/3 complex, driving filopodia formation, immune synapse assembly, and downstream signaling in T cells, B cells, NK cells, and platelets. Loss-of-function mutations in the WAS gene cause Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome, an X-linked immunodeficiency characterized by thrombocytopenia, eczema, and recurrent infection, while gain-of-function variants are linked to X-linked neutropenia, making sensitive detection tools valuable for immunology, hematology, and cell-signaling research.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the WASP target and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry across human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute for probing endogenous WASP in cell lysates, primary leukocytes, or fixed tissue sections. Researchers studying cytoskeletal dynamics, primary immunodeficiencies, and lymphocyte activation can use this antibody to characterize WASP localization, expression changes in patient-derived cells, and pathway perturbations in disease models.
