Raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com binds tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase (WARS), the cytoplasmic aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase that charges tRNA^Trp with tryptophan during translation.
Cross-reactivity with mouse, rat, and human WARS supports western blot detection of the approximately 53 kDa synthetase in cell and tissue lysates, as well as immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, where the antigen displays cytoplasmic staining. Researchers studying non-canonical roles of WARS in angiogenesis, interferon-gamma signalling, or altered expression patterns in tumour samples have used this reagent in published work.
The 100 µl vial ships ready to dilute into standard blocking buffer. Storage at 4°C is appropriate for short-term use, while -20°C is recommended for long-term storage; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. This primary antibody is intended for research use only in applications such as western blot and immunohistochemistry.
