Anti-VPS53 Antibody

This primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against VPS53, a core subunit of the GARP (Golgi-associated retrograde protein) tethering complex that drives retrograde membrane traffic from endosomes back to the trans-Golgi network. The reagent is a rabbit polyclonal supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples.

Because loss-of-function mutations in VPS53 are linked to pontocerebellar hypoplasia type 2E and to progressive neurodevelopmental movement disorders, antibodies specific for this target are useful in studies of membrane trafficking, neuronal migration, and related disease model characterization. The antibody is provided as a liquid aliquot suitable for immunoblotting of cell or tissue lysates and for chromogenic or fluorescent IHC staining of fixed sections. For handling, store at -20 °C and aliquot on first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles; centrifuge briefly before opening.
