Raised in rabbit as an IgG polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody recognises VPS24, also known as charged multivesicular body protein 3 (CHMP3), a core subunit of the ESCRT-III membrane-remodeling complex. Sold by Antibodies.com in a 50 µl vial, it is intended for Western blot detection of endogenous VPS24 protein in human and mouse samples, supporting translational workflows that compare VPS24/CHMP3 levels across these species.

VPS24 caps ESCRT-III filaments in partnership with CHMP2A and assembles with the broader CHMP2B, CHMP4A/B/C, CHMP6, CHMP7, and IST1 network to drive membrane scission. It localises to endosomes during multivesicular body formation, to the midbody during the abscission step of cytokinesis, and to the reforming nuclear envelope during nuclear pore quality control, so the antibody is useful for laboratories studying endosomal sorting, viral budding, cytokinetic abscission, and ESCRT-dependent membrane remodelling.

Provided unconjugated, the reagent is compatible with standard HRP-conjugated or fluorescently labelled secondary detection in chemiluminescent Western blot protocols. The 50 µl volume supports storage at -20 °C in single-use aliquots that limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody titre across repeated immunoblotting runs on whole-cell lysates or tissue homogenates.
