The VPS24 protein, also known as CHMP3, is a core subunit of the ESCRT-III machinery that drives membrane fission during intraluminal vesicle formation, viral budding, cytokinesis, and plasma membrane repair. This Antibodies.com reagent is an affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human VPS24 and validated for immunoblot detection of the endogenous target in human and murine samples. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated IgG in a single-use vial, the antibody is aliquoted from polyclonal serum and performs reliably on whole-cell lysates and tissue homogenates separated by SDS-PAGE. For long-term stability, store at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during handling. Researchers investigating endosomal sorting, the multivesicular body pathway, HIV budding, and abscission during cell division commonly rely on this reagent to probe VPS24/CHMP3 expression and ESCRT-III assembly states.
