Vitronectin (VTN) is a multifunctional 75 kDa glycoprotein abundant in blood and deposited in the extracellular matrix, where it supports cell adhesion through its integrin-binding RGD motif and anchors plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 during fibrinolysis. This recombinant monoclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry, and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat specimens. Each 100 µl aliquot is supplied unconjugated in TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, allowing short-term refrigerated storage at 4°C without loss of activity. Researchers deploy this reagent to probe VTN expression in tissue sections, to track matrix deposition in cultured cells, and to investigate adhesion-mediating pathways that connect complement regulation and cell migration in cancer, vascular, and wound-healing studies.
