Anti-Vimentin Antibody

Manufactured by Signalway Antibody and distributed through Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against human Vimentin, a class-III intermediate filament protein widely used as a cytoskeletal, neural stem cell and radial glia marker in cell biology and cancer research. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is unconjugated, allowing users to attach their own reporter for downstream detection. The host is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, and the target is endogenous Vimentin (synonym: VIM); the immunogen is a synthesised peptide derived from human Vimentin around the non-phosphorylation site of S56, and the antibody has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to ensure specificity.
