Anti-VIM Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal raised against VIM (Vimentin). It is unconjugated, of the IgG isotype, and supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.09% sodium azide, with affinity purification used in its preparation.

Validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (IHC-P), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and ELISA, the reagent reacts with human, mouse and rat samples. Recommended starting dilutions are WB 1:500-1:2,000, IHC-P 1:50-1:200, ICC/IF 1:50-1:200, and ELISA at 1 µg/ml (starting concentration).

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 1-200 of human Vimentin. The target migrates at 58 kDa / 57 kDa, with a predicted molecular weight of 54 kDa. Concentration is lot specific. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
