Anti-VEGFR2/Flk-1 (I1181) Antibody

A polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and targets VEGFR2 (also known as Flk-1) at the region around I1181. The unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.

Validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC), the antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is reported to detect endogenous levels of VEGFR2 protein. It has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with stated purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. VEGFR2 belongs to a family of cell membrane receptor tyrosine kinases that also includes Flt (VEGF-R1) and Flt-4, all sharing seven immunoglobulin-like sequences within their extracellular domain. These receptors are associated with endothelial cell growth, with Flt-1 and Flk-1 identified as high-affinity receptors for vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGFs).
