Offered through Antibodies.com as part of their primary antibody range, this reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody directed against VEGFR2 (also known as KDR, FLK-1, CD309 or Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2). The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It was raised in rabbit against a synthetic peptide sequence spanning residues 949–953 (K-D-Y-V-G) of human VEGFR2 and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific peptide, ensuring selective recognition of the endogenous total VEGFR2 protein. The unconjugated polyclonal reagent is validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and is reactive with human samples. Antibodies.com ships the product at 4°C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Typical working dilutions suggested for downstream assays are 1:500–1:1000 for Western blot, 1:50–1:100 for immunohistochemistry and 1:100–1:200 for immunofluorescence, making the product suitable for research laboratories investigating angiogenesis, endothelial cell signalling and VEGFR2-related pathways. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
