Anti-VEGF-A Antibody

Manufactured by Bioworld Technology and distributed under the Antibodies.com catalogue, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against recombinant full-length human VEGF-A (vascular endothelial growth factor A), a disulphide-linked homodimeric glycoprotein of the PDGF/VEGF family that drives endothelial proliferation, vasculogenesis, angiogenesis and vascular permeability. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with the unconjugated, affinity-purified IgG fraction having a purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is validated for Western blotting and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse and rat samples, with the expected bands reported at approximately 27 kDa (VEGF206), 45 kDa (L-VEGF206) and 15–44 kDa for the other isoforms, and it specifically detects endogenous levels of VEGFA protein. Recommended storage is short term at 4 °C, with aliquots held at –20 °C for long-term use and repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided.
