This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is a rabbit host IgG raised against the phosphorylated tyrosine 731 epitope on vascular endothelial cadherin (VE-cadherin, CD144), a junctional adhesion protein whose Y731 modification by Src family kinases has been linked to changes in endothelial barrier integrity and leukocyte transmigration. Supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the unconjugated antibody is validated for Western Blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and has been verified on human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing cross-species comparisons in vascular biology, angiogenesis, and inflammation research.

The 100 µl pack size supports multi-experiment planning, and a polyclonal backbone increases the chance of detecting the modified epitope in contexts where surrounding sequence conservation across the three reactive species is high. Investigators characterising tyrosine phosphorylation downstream of VEGF challenge, histamine stimulation, or pro-inflammatory cytokines typically pair this reagent with total VE-cadherin and beta-catenin loading controls to interpret site-specific remodelling of adherens junctions in cultured endothelial cells and tissue sections.

Store refrigerated short term; the azide-containing formulation is compatible with downstream HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugation, and the unconjugated format lets each laboratory match the antibody to its preferred chromogen or fluorescence detection chemistry. Lot-specific validation images, recommended dilutions, and citation references are available through the supplier's technical resource library.
