Anti-VDAC1 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG and supplied by Antibodies.com at 100 µl per vial, this unconjugated primary antibody targets human and mouse VDAC1, the voltage-dependent anion channel 1 protein that forms the major β-barrel porin of the mitochondrial outer membrane. VDAC1 mediates the flux of ions, ATP, NAD+, and other metabolites across the outer mitochondrial membrane and participates in the release of cytochrome c during apoptosis, which is why it is frequently used as a mitochondrial loading control in western blot alongside cytosolic markers.

The reagent is validated for western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and flow cytometry (FC), covering detection of the ~31 kDa VDAC1 band on membranes, localization studies in fixed tissue sections, and intracellular staining workflows.
