Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets valosin-containing protein (VCP), a ubiquitously expressed AAA+ ATPase implicated in protein degradation, ER-associated degradation, and a range of neurodegenerative and myopathic disorders. The reagent is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume as an unconjugated IgG preparation raised against a synthetic peptide of human VCP, and it has been affinity-purified using the immunogen. Validated applications include Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and the antibody has been confirmed to react with human, mouse, and rat samples, detecting endogenous levels of total VCP. The formulation is phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. Vials are shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Intended for research use only, the product is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
