A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised against the phosphorylated serine 238 residue of Vasodilator-Stimulated Phosphoprotein (VASP). Phosphorylation at S238 is mediated by cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) and cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG), placing this reagent in workflows that interrogate cAMP and cGMP signaling, cytoskeletal reorganization, platelet activation, and cell migration pathways.

The antibody is unconjugated and supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide included as a preservative. It has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, and specifically detects the phospho-S238 epitope, enabling researchers to distinguish the activated, kinase-modified form of VASP from unphosphorylated protein in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

Typical research applications include studying endothelial nitric oxide signaling, monitoring PKA/PKG activity downstream of vasodilator stimuli, and probing actin cytoskeleton dynamics in platelets, fibroblasts, and vascular tissue. The reagent should be stored refrigerated and protected from light to preserve antibody integrity, and is intended for research use only.
