Anti-VASP (phospho-S157) Antibody

Selective for the phosphorylated form of vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody recognizes VASP only at serine 157, a PKA/PKG substrate residue widely used as a read-out of cAMP- and cGMP-dependent kinase activity in cell signaling studies.

Supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approx. pH 7.2, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on samples from human, mouse, and rat. The phospho-S157 specificity makes it useful for monitoring endothelial nitric oxide signaling, cytoskeletal remodeling, focal adhesion dynamics, and platelet activation pathways that hinge on PKA- or PKG-mediated VASP modification.

For best results, aliquot the stock upon receipt and store frozen at -20 °C in working volumes to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the 0.05% sodium azide provides microbial protection for short-term bench handling.
