Raised in Rabbit and supplied as 100 µg of unconjugated polyclonal immunoglobulin, this primary antibody recognizes the Vasopressin V1b receptor (V1bR, also called AVPR1B), a G-protein-coupled receptor that mediates ACTH release from anterior pituitary corticotrophs. The reagent is from Antibodies.com and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on Rat samples.

Compared with the related V1a receptor, V1bR shows a more restricted tissue distribution, with strongest expression in the pituitary and additional signals reported in the hippocampus, hypothalamus, and amygdala. Researchers working on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, stress signaling, and social behavior use this antibody to localize receptor pools in fixed tissue sections, confirm expression changes in disease models, and validate transcriptomic findings at the protein level.

The antibody is provided in a 100 µg vial of unconjugated IgG, shipped refrigerated for stability. Aliquot on arrival and store at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw damage; the reagent is intended for research use only.
