Anti-Varicella Zoster Virus gH Antibody [OAKK39]

This mouse monoclonal clone (OAKK39) recognizes the glycoprotein H (gH) envelope component of Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV), the human herpesvirus responsible for varicella (chickenpox) and herpes zoster (shingles). Glycoprotein H pairs with gL and gB at the viral surface to drive membrane fusion during host-cell entry, making it a focal target in studies of VZV tropism, neutralization, and vaccine development.

Provided by Antibodies.com as a 100 µg liquid preparation, the reagent is unconjugated and of the IgG1 subclass, allowing flexible pairing with secondary reporters of the researcher's choice. Validated applications include immunoprecipitation (IP) for isolation of gH-containing complexes from infected cell lysates and immunocytochemistry / immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) for visualization of gH in VZV-infected monolayers.
