Anti-VAPB Antibody - Identical to Abcam (ab196487)

A polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com targets the VAPB protein. The IgG reagent is unconjugated and has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence applications in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 127–222 of human VAPB (NP_004729.1). The antibody is provided as a liquid preparation in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.3, supplemented with 50% glycerol and 0.05% Proclin 300, and purified by affinity chromatography. The target protein migrates at 27 kDa. Suggested dilutions are 1:500–1:1,000 for Western blot, 1:50–1:200 for immunohistochemistry, and 1:50–1:200 for immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence.

Shipped at 4°C, the antibody should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C on arrival, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. It has been cited in one publication examining GLP-1 receptor signalling at endoplasmic reticulum–mitochondria membrane contact sites and β-cell functional adaptation.
