The VAMP2 protein, also known as synaptobrevin-2, is a key component of the SNARE complex that mediates vesicle docking and fusion at presynaptic terminals, playing an essential role in Ca2+-triggered neurotransmitter release. This Rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets VAMP2 and is validated for Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry workflows on Human and Mouse samples. Supplied as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl volume, it supports detection of endogenous synaptobrevin-2 in neuronal lysates, brain sections, and synaptosomal preparations. Researchers studying synaptic vesicle cycling, exocytosis mechanisms, and neurodegenerative disease models commonly use this reagent to probe presynaptic integrity and SNARE complex assembly.
