This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets UTP14A, a nucleolar ribosome biogenesis factor involved in processing of the 18S rRNA precursor within the small subunit (SSU) processome. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications and cross-reacts with both human and mouse samples.

Supplied as an unconjugated IgG in a 200 µl volume, the antibody offers flexibility across downstream detection workflows, including HRP- or fluorophore-coupled secondary reagents. Reactivity has been confirmed in human and mouse tissues and cell lines.

Research applications include studies of ribosome assembly, nucleolar function, and emerging investigations linking UTP14A expression to oncogenic pathways. Mouse genetic studies have shown that disruption of the UTP14A Pih1 motif causes male germ cell arrest and infertility, making this reagent useful for reproductive biology and spermatogenesis research. In oncology, UTP14A overexpression has been documented in breast carcinoma, where it has been proposed as a candidate proliferation biomarker.

For handling, the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees C in working aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on UTP14A, providing robust signal in denaturing and fixed sample conditions. Intended for research use only, the reagent supports laboratories examining fundamental ribosome biogenesis mechanisms as well as translational studies on UTP14A in cancer and germ cell biology.
