Raised in rabbit against the deubiquitinating enzyme USP7 (also known as HAUSP), this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is intended to detect endogenous USP7 in human and mouse samples. USP7 is a 135 kDa cysteine-type protease of the ubiquitin-specific protease family and a central regulator of the p53-MDM2 axis, binding both substrates through its TRAF-like N-terminal domain and switching from MDM2 stabilisation to p53 protection following ATM-dependent dephosphorylation by PPM1G during the DNA damage response.

The antibody is supplied as 50 µL of liquid stock in a single vial. Validated applications include Western blot and immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections, with the expected band appearing near 128-135 kDa across lysates from common human and mouse cell lines. The unconjugated format leaves secondary reagent choice open, supporting HRP-based chemiluminescent blotting, fluorophore detection, or enzyme-conjugated immunostaining as required by the workflow. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes is useful when probing post-translational modification states or isoform variation of USP7.

For handling, aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles, store frozen at -20°C for long-term use, and refrigerate for short-term working stocks. Relevant applications include interrogation of MDM2-p53 feedback loops, HERC2-mediated regulation, viral USP7 interactions such as EBV EBNA1 mimicry, and chromatin-associated deubiquitination events in cancer biology, signalling, and DNA repair research.
