Anti-USO1 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets USO1, a peripheral vesicle tethering factor (also known as p115) that is essential for vesicular trafficking between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cis-Golgi compartment. Raised in rabbit, the reagent is supplied as 100 µl of affinity-purified immunoglobulin at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The glycerol keeps the stock liquid when kept refrigerated, while long-term storage at -20 °C as working aliquots is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles on the parent vial.

The unconjugated antibody recognizes endogenous USO1 in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been validated for western blot detection of the ~110 kDa tethering factor, immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections, immunofluorescence labeling of the Golgi apparatus, and immunoprecipitation of native USO1 complexes from cell lysates. Researchers use this reagent to investigate Golgi architecture, COPII-mediated export, vesicle docking, and membrane trafficking pathways in cell biology and neurobiology research.
