Anti-USF2 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets USF2 (Upstream Stimulatory Factor 2), a basic helix-loop-helix leucine-zipper transcription factor that forms heterodimers with USF1 and binds the canonical E-box motif (CACGTG) in gene promoters. Through these interactions, USF2 contributes to transcriptional programs governing glucose homeostasis (insulin and glucokinase regulation), cytokine expression in immune signaling, and the cellular stress response, and is therefore of interest in studies of metabolic disease, inflammatory signaling, and oncogenesis where USF-dependent promoter activity is being dissected.

The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated whole antiserum. It has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting work on endogenous USF2 protein levels in cell culture lysates and in formalin-fixed tissue sections. Typical applications include confirming expression of USF2 in target tissues, monitoring shifts in USF2 abundance following experimental perturbation, and complementing chromatin immunoprecipitation workflows aimed at mapping USF-binding regulatory elements.
