UQCRC1, also known as Ubiquinol-Cytochrome C Reductase Core Protein 1, is the largest catalytic core subunit of mitochondrial respiratory chain Complex III. It anchors the cytochrome bc1 complex in the inner mitochondrial membrane and is central to electron transfer from ubiquinol to cytochrome c. Research tools targeting this protein are used to investigate mitochondrial bioenergetics, oxidative phosphorylation efficiency, and dysfunction linked to neurodegeneration, ischemic injury, and metabolic disease.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human UQCRC1 protein (approximately 53 kDa) and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The polyclonal format provides multi-epitope recognition, supporting robust signal on denatured whole-cell lysates and on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Reactivity is confirmed against human samples, and the unconjugated format enables flexible pairing with user-selected secondary antibodies and detection chemistries.

Each vial is supplied as 100 µL of liquid antibody. For routine handling, refrigerate at 4°C; for extended storage, aliquot and store frozen at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The product is intended for research use only and is suitable for studies of Complex III assembly, mitochondrial respiration assays, and characterization of patient-derived tissue samples.
