This mouse monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the N-terminal region of UHRF1, an epigenetic reader protein that recognizes hemi-methylated CpG dinucleotides and recruits DNMT1 to propagate DNA methylation patterns through S phase. The unconjugated IgG2b clone is supplied as 100 µl of stock and has been validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry on human cells, where it yields nuclear staining consistent with UHRF1's chromatin-associated activity.

UHRF1 is studied intensively in cancer biology because elevated expression is reported across many solid tumor types and contributes to silencing of tumor suppressor loci through aberrant methylation maintenance. Researchers apply this primary antibody to track changes in UHRF1 levels following siRNA knockdown or small-molecule inhibition, to probe cell cycle progression through the G1/S checkpoint, and to compare expression in transformed versus normal cell lines. Its unconjugated format makes it flexible for downstream detection with either HRP- or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents.

For storage, aliquot upon first use and store at -20 °C in working volumes to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the supplied vial remains stable under those conditions for typical research timelines. The host species is mouse and the isotype is IgG2b, so compatible secondaries include anti-mouse IgG conjugated to HRP, Alexa Fluor, or biotin depending on the assay.
