Produced in rabbit by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal antiserum is raised against UDP-glucuronosyltransferase family 3 member A2 (UGT3A2), a phase II metabolic enzyme that transfers glucuronic acid from UDP-glucuronic acid onto acceptor substrates such as phenols, coumarins, and selected xenobiotics. The unconjugated reagent is provided as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer supplemented with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot on cell and tissue lysates as well as for immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections prepared from human and mouse sources. Researchers investigating hepatic and extrahepatic glucuronidation, drug clearance pathways, or comparative UGT3A isoform expression use this reagent to localize the enzyme across tissue types and to confirm expression by immunoblotting on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes. Because the polyclonal response targets multiple epitopes on UGT3A2, signal can be retained even when individual epitopes are masked by partial degradation, alternative splicing, or fixation chemistry. For best results, store working aliquots at -20 °C and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity over extended studies of phase II conjugation capacity.
