An affinity-purified polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against human UGT2B7, the UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 2B7 enzyme that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum of hepatocytes and several extrahepatic tissues. UGT2B7 mediates the phase II glucuronidation of clinically important substrates, including morphine and other opioids, zidovudine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, bile acids, and steroid hormones, and is therefore widely studied in hepatic drug clearance, pharmacogenomics, and drug-drug interaction research.

Distributed by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µL volume, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human specimens. Typical workflows include western blot analysis of liver microsomal preparations and IHC on formalin-fixed tissue sections to map hepatic, renal, and gastrointestinal expression. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes, supporting consistent detection across sample types.

For short-term use, the reagent should be kept refrigerated; for extended storage, aliquoting and freezing at -20 °C preserves performance and limits loss across repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each lot is affinity purified to minimize non-specific binding in both WB and IHC protocols.
