Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is directed against human UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 (UGT1A1), the key hepatic enzyme of the glucuronidation pathway that conjugates bilirubin, steroids and a wide range of drugs. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, providing a ready-to-use stock that remains stable for typical short-term bench handling. It is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence workflows, making it a versatile reagent for characterising UGT1A1 expression in liver-derived cells and tissue sections. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, and the immunoglobulin class is IgG, with no fluorophore or enzyme label attached so the reagent can be paired with the secondary detection system of choice. Estimated purity exceeds 95% and the antibody is released for research use only. Reactivity has been confirmed against human samples, consistent with the intended use of UGT1A1 as a hepatocyte differentiation marker and as a target of interest in studies of hyperbilirubinemia, drug metabolism and pharmacogenetics. Storage follows standard polyclonal antibody practice: keep the glycerol-containing formulation at -20 °C for long-term stability, avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles, and aliquot upon first use to preserve activity across multiple experiments.
