UDP-glucose dehydrogenase (UGDH) is a cytoplasmic oxidoreductase that catalyzes the two-step NAD-dependent conversion of UDP-glucose to UDP-glucuronic acid, the obligate precursor for glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis, including hyaluronan, chondroitin sulfate, and heparan sulfate. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous UGDH protein in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.
Investigators studying extracellular matrix remodeling, tumor metabolism, or fibrotic tissue development use this primary antibody to monitor UGDH expression in cell lysates, formalin-fixed paraffin sections, and cultured cells. Each vial contains 100 µl of affinity-purified antiserum that supports multiple experimental runs; aliquot on first use and refrigerate at 4 °C to preserve binding activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
