UCK2 (uridine-cytidine kinase 2) phosphorylates uridine and cytidine within the pyrimidine salvage pathway, and the Antibodies.com Anti-UCK2 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent raised against this human enzyme. Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated antiserum, it supports western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human-derived samples, where it labels the endogenous kinase in cell lysates and in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Researchers investigating nucleoside metabolism, gemcitabine activation, and tumor pyrimidine salvage use this reagent to track UCK2 expression across cancer cell lines and patient tumor material. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on the human target, which is useful when probing native protein in IHC. Store the vial at -20 degrees C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the affinity-purified IgG preparation.
