The Anti-UCK2 reagent from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal IgG primary antibody raised against uridine-cytidine kinase 2 (UCK2), supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human specimens. UCK2 catalyzes the phosphorylation of uridine and cytidine within the pyrimidine salvage pathway, converting these nucleosides into UMP and CMP for nucleotide biosynthesis, and altered UCK2 expression has been investigated in studies of tumor cell proliferation and nucleoside-analogue metabolism. The antibody detects the endogenous human protein under denaturing conditions in WB and supports antigen retrieval-based chromogenic staining in IHC, making it a practical tool for probing enzyme levels across cancer cell lines, xenograft tissue, and patient-derived sections. Produced in rabbit and affinity-purified as an IgG polyclonal preparation reactive with the human target, this unconjugated primary antibody is intended for research use only and is shipped refrigerated to preserve lot-to-lot activity across blotting and imaging workflows.
