UCHL5 (Ubiquitin C-Terminal Hydrolase L5), also referred to as UCH37, is a cysteine deubiquitinase that associates with the 19S regulatory cap of the 26S proteasome and trims ubiquitin chains from proteasome-bound substrates. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the human UCHL5 protein and is supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation in a 100 µl vial, ready to incorporate into established immunoassay workflows.

The reagent has been validated across western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FC), giving labs a single primary antibody that supports biochemical, histological, and cell-based read-outs. It cross-reacts with human and rat samples, which is helpful for translational studies that compare UCHL5 expression in patient-derived material with rodent disease models of proteasome dysfunction, including certain cancer and neurodegeneration systems.

Because the antibody is unconjugated, investigators can pair it with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-labelled secondary reagents depending on the detection platform. For long-term studies, aliquot on receipt, refrigerate at 2 to 8 degrees C for short-term use, and freeze working stocks to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles that can erode polyclonal IgG titre over time.
